Synopsis
Cursed Energy, as taught by Jujutsu Kaisen, is something that all living things give forth (, Juryoku).
It is believed that this power comes from the body’s unchecked flow of negative emotions.
Managing the flow inside most people’s bodies is quite challenging.
Due to this, they continue to experience Cursed Energy drains.
It results in the birth of Curses (in Japanese, Noroi), a race of spiritual beings whose only purpose in life is to harm humanity.
These disasters are shown as monstrous creatures out to do harm.
Jujutsu Sorcerers are those who master the inward flow of Cursed Energy.
“Cursed Technique Masters” (, Jujutsushi) also known as “Shamans.”
They can control how much Cursed Energy is unleashed and use it for whichever purpose they see fit.
Cursed Techniques may be developed and used by powerful Sorcerers and Curses who have access to this energy (Jujutsushiki),
that are specific to an individual or a family.
The energy itself may be used to carry out these procedures.
An advanced variant of the Cursed Method is the Domain Expansion method (, Ryuki Tenkai).
Using this method, professionals may create a pocket dimension whose dimensions can be altered to suit their needs.
Once within the domain, all of their attacks will immediately become interconnected and grow in strength.
